Rachel Gore Freed, a Vanderbilt Law school graduate, has worked with victims of rape and war crimes atrocities, both on the ground in Sierra Leone and in immigration detention centers in New Jersey. Rachel-€™s experiences -€“ working with vulnerable women and representing them on the prosecutorial side at a war crimes tribunal in the Hague and on the defense side in federal immigration courts in the US -€“ illustrate the intersection of gender, justice and accountability in human rights.
