Lavender Celebration Save the Date

Posted by on Monday, April 5, 2021 in Archives, News.

Friday May 7 through Sunday May 9

Mark your calendars because on May 7-9 our social media will be taken over by Lavender Celebration posts! Over those three days we will highlight members of our community who serve as leaders in our office as well as announce the winners of our LGBTQI Life Awards and spotlight our LGBTQIA+ and allied graduates. Make sure you are following us on Twitter and Instagram (@VULGBTQILife) so that you can help us virtually celebrate everyone.

If you would like to be recognized during Lavender Celebration please sign up here. There are options to receive the gifts but not be recognized publicly. If you would like to nominate someone for an LGBTQI Life Award you can do so here. The application closes at 11:59pm on April 11th.

Lavender Celebration is a tradition that began in 2008 at Vanderbilt, held in addition to regular commencement activities. Its aim is to celebrate the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and allied graduating undergraduate, graduate, and professional students as well as faculty and staff. All members of the Vanderbilt community are welcome to join us for this special celebration.
