Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration at Vanderbilt

We are in an agonizing national crisis because a complex of profound problems has intersected in an explosive mixture. . . . If we look honestly at the realities of our national life, it is clear that we are not marching forward; we are groping and stumbling; we are divided and confused. Please join us as Vanderbilt University celebrates the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Our keynote speaker will be the Professor Michael Eric Dyson. This commemoration kicks off on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, and continues with our annual Weekend of Service leading into a full day of programming on Monday including teach-ins, service projects, a Civil Rights Bus Tour of historic Nashville sites, and concludes with our keynote address by Professor Michael Eric Dyson at 7:00 p.m. in Langford Auditorium.
