Newton Adkins San Francisco, CA - Educators For Fair Consideration

Located in San Francisco, Educators For Fair Consideration (E4FC) empowers undocumented young people in their pursuit of college, career, and citizenship. With the support of the Ingram Scholarship Program, I had the privilege to spend the summer working with E4FC to research private financial aid opportunities for undocumented college students nationwide. Specifically, I conducted surveys and interviews of scholarship providers to understand the barriers that limit support for undocumented students and the potential factors that could lead to increased support. The information gathered through this project enhances E4FC’s ongoing advocacy work to increase financial aid for college-bound undocumented students.
