Abby Hannifan Jinja, Uganda - Northwestern Global Engagement Summer Institute

Through Northwestern University’s Global Engagement Summer Institute, Abby and a small team of students put their ABCD skills to the test. After interviewing community members and taking stock of resources, they helped the community revitalize a formerly attempted mushroom-growing project. The village’s mushroom harvest would help introduce lacking nutrients and provide sustainable income.
