Letters of Recommendation
Ingram Scholar Letters of Recommendation
Applicants should visit the Merit Scholarships Application page to submit their request for letters of recommendation. Please note you do not need to have submitted a complete scholarship application to request letters of recommendation.
Please arrange for two individuals to provide letters of recommendation in support of your application for the Ingram Scholarship Program. You may select anyone from your community who you believe can best address your strength of personal character, commitment to community service, and leadership qualities.
Complete the Recommendation Letter Request form by entering the name and email of two individuals from whom you would like to request letters of recommendation. An email will be sent to each individual asking for a letter of recommendation. You should communicate clearly with these individuals (before submitting their contact information) about the importance of their recommendations, and allow them sufficient time to complete their recommendations thoroughly. Please advise them to check any email or spam filters they may have enabled to make sure it allows email from "firstname.lastname@example.org." Be on the lookout for an automatically generated confirmation email once your recommender has submitted his or her letter. Should you seek a reference from someone without e-mail access, please have him or her send their letter of reference to the address below.

The deadline for High School Students is January 1, 2017 . The deadline for Current Vanderbilt First Year and Sophomores to submit letters of reference is February 1, 2017.
