2. CASA GRANTS FOR CENTRAL AMERICAN SCHOLARS TO ATTEND THE LASA MEETING— DEADLINE IN TWO DAYS
Dear CAS members,
The Central American Section of LASA sets aside money every year to fund two travel grants for scholars in Central America who would like to attend the LASA annual conference. We especially encourage students to apply for these awards. To apply, please submit a CV and a cover letter describing your research, the abstract of the paper you plan to present at the conference and a brief explanation of financial need. The deadline to submit applications is March 10, 2016. The section officers and secretary will review the applications, and notify the people awarded by mid-March. Award recipients should submit their full paper one month ahead of the LASA Conference.
Please submit the required application materials to the section co-chairs, William Clary (wclary@ozarks.edu) and Ainhoa Montoya (ainhoa.montoya@sas.ac.uk). Please note that if you have received a travel grant from LASA to attend this year’s conference, you are not eligible to apply for a section grant.
Atentamente,
William Clary and Ainhoa Montoya
Co-chairs de la Sección de Centroamérica
