In this program, students take courses at a CIEE study center in St. Petersburg. Envisioned as a "Window to the West," the city is filled with golden palaces, pastel-colored mansions, and landscaped parks, gardens, and canals. Students either live with a Russian-speaking family and immerse themselves in the language and culture, or in a downtown hostel with other CIEE students. Students agree to speak only Russian to encourage language and cultural acquisition.
