Kishundra King

Kishundra D. King holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Creighton University and a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School, which inform her perspectives of adolescent development and care. Currently, she is a third-year doctoral student at Vanderbilt University studying Religion, Psychology, and Culture with an interest in womanist perspectives of Black girl psychosocial development, delinquency, and crisis. Her work explores the particularity of the black girl experience in a culture that has historically degraded and misrepresented black women and girls and seeks to unearth wholistic care opportunities that address the multi-systemic needs of black girls.
