E. Bronson Ingram College

The Academic Strategic Plan (ASP) is comprised of four pillars which intentionally intersect in scope and vision.  One of the four foundational pillars of the ASP is the Undergraduate Residential Experience focused on offering students a rich and diverse intellectual community that educates the whole person and cultivates lifelong learning. Key to these goals is enriching the educational experience by completing and extending the residential college system and developing new infrastructure to foster further interconnections between discovery and learning.

The Ingram Commons, which opened in 2008 as a living–learning community for first-year students, was Vanderbilt’s first step into the residential college system. Its success spurred further development of residential colleges. Warren and Moore Colleges opened in 2014 for sophomores, juniors and seniors. The new E. Bronson Ingram College is slated to open in fall 2018 on the site of the former Vanderbilt and Barnard Halls.
