Collier Roberts, Government Relations Program Manager
Collier Roberts is the government relations program manager for the Division of Government and Community Relations. In this role, Roberts is responsible for the strategy and implementation of all communication efforts for Vanderbilt’s legislative initiatives on the state and federal level. He also manages all the social media, websites, and newsletters for the university’s government relations offices.
Prior to joining Vanderbilt, Roberts served in the division of administration for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury as assistant to their legislative policy coordinator and their utilities specialist. His primary responsibilities included managing day-to-day duties for their utilities operation, which supports over 180 utility districts statewide. He also served on the Comptroller’s legislative team for two years.
Roberts has worked as a research analyst for a political consulting firm in Nashville and began his career in politics as a government relations aide at the law firm Farrar & Bates, LLP.
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Roberts is a graduate of Belmont University, in Nashville, Tennessee. He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and was a member of Belmont’s Baseball and Track & Field teams.
