Career Corner
According to the Center for Student Professional Development's recent
“Summer Experience Survey,” internships continue to be the most common
summer activity for Vanderbilt students, followed by summer jobs. When
asked how they obtained their internships, 53.4% of students said they
used their personal connections more than any other source to learn about
new opportunities.
By speaking with family, friends, fellow students, professors and
previous employers, students can discover and connect to internships that
may not be widely advertised.
Assistant Director/career coach Cathy Weisbrodt offers tips to students
on how to explore opportunities using personal connections in a new
Center video. Watch now.
