Registration and cost
Registration opens in early September. We will send an email out with the link.
The cost is $45 per person (waived for Vanderbilt students and children 12 and younger).
We encourage you to register before Sept. 27. On-site registration will be available.
Football tickets incur an additional charge.
We do not want financial hardship to prohibit anyone from attending Family Weekend. If you need assistance, please submit the required form at vu.edu/fwhardship, and we will contact you.
- On-site registration will open at 9 a.m. on Oct. 1 in the Student Life Center Board of Trust Room, 310 25th Ave. S.
- A $5 per person on-site fee will be charged in addition to the $45 registration fee.
- If you must cancel your registration, please do so by Friday, Sept. 24, at 5 p.m. Central time.
Health and safety protocols
Our highest priority is the health and safety of our Vanderbilt community. The university will monitor the pandemic closely leading up to the weekend. Please be aware as you make travel plans that health and safety conditions may change by late October. Read more about our current pandemic protocols.

What to bring
All events are informal; comfortable walking shoes are a must. Masks will be required at all events.
When you arrive
Be sure to check in for Family Weekend in the Board of Trust Room of the Student Life Center, 310 25th Ave. S., to pick up your weekend packet. Name badges are your admittance to all events. Check-in and on-site registration times are:
- Friday, Oct. 1, 9 a.m.–6 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 2, 8:30 a.m.–noon

With limited parking available on campus, a ridehail service, such as Uber or Lyft, is a great option to get to and from campus. Information on using ridehail to campus is here.
Family Weekend is a perfect time to connect with student services and academic departments. Contact offices directly to schedule an appointment during regular business hours on Friday, Oct. 1. To meet with your student’s academic adviser, your student should contact the professor at least two weeks before Family Weekend to schedule an appointment.

Wheelchairs can be reserved when registering online. Requests are granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Requests made after Friday, Sept. 17, cannot be guaranteed.

Please be advised that 21st Ave will be closed between Wedgewood and Acklen Ave. on Oct. 2. This could impact travel to the tailgate and football game.
