Housing and Dining Resources
A place to call their own
Housing and Residential Experience provides safe, secure, comfortable, accessible, and healthy housing for its residents. Programming for residents builds communities in which students’ social needs for belonging, friendship, recognition, respect, and dignity are met. These communities foster learning, personal development, academic achievement, and successful transitions for both new students and graduates.
Our Move-In page can help get you started preparing for your student’s first year.
Housing and Residential Experience

Maintenance request form
If there is something that needs to be repaired in your student’s room, please send them to this form.
Where to dine
Your student’s Vanderbilt Meal Plan can be redeemed in a variety of locations, including residential dining halls, retail dining centers, on-campus cafés, and Munchie Marts. These locations also take credit cards, so you can eat with your student when you come to visit!
Meal Plans
Vanderbilt’s dining halls are a key part of campus life, and our meal plans are designed to enhance students’ residential college experience. All Vanderbilt students living on campus are required to participate in a meal plan based on their cohort year
Food allergies and dietary accommodations
We understand the impact food allergies can have on students as they exert more effort in managing their diets than their peers without allergies due to a more limited selection of options. We strive to support students with food allergies by providing the knowledge and resources necessary to empower students to make informed food choices in our dining locations.
