Family Weekend 2022

 

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Join us for Family Weekend 2022 on campus September 9-11!

Your family is part of ours, and we want to celebrate that with you. It will be a weekend full of fun activities and opportunities to learn about your student’s experience on campus. Make plans to come early as information sessions, panels and open houses begin on Friday, Sept. 9. Plus, help us cheer on our ‘Dores versus Wake Forest on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 11:00 a.m.

 

Registration Tips:

  • Know who of your family will be attending. We welcome all family and friends of Vanderbilt students!
  • Be sure to register your Vanderbilt student as a guest.
  • Remember, you must register each person attending Family Weekend. A name tag will be required for admittance to all Family Weekend events.
  • You will receive a confirmation email from familyweekend@vanderbilt.edu. If you do not receive this confirmation within an hour of your purchase, please check your promotions/junk/spam folders. If you still are not able to locate the email, please contact Parent and Family Programs at parents@vanderbilt.edu. Please allow the office 24-48 hours to respond to your inquiry.

Signature Events

Friday

Grandparents Social and Tea – 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Meet and greet other grandparents while enjoying afternoon tea. Be sure to pick up your special gift for attending this event. 

University Update with Leadership – 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Join Chancellor Daniel Diermeier, Provost C. Cybele Raver, and other university leaders for a conversation about the university with opportunities to ask questions and gain a greater understanding of Vanderbilt’s priorities. The Vanderbilt Melodores, former champions of NBC’s The Sing-Off, will open the event with a special performance!

Fall For the Arts – 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Join us for an outdoor festival of the arts, including an evening of student performances and opportunities to explore your creative abilities with arts and crafts. The celebration boasts a mouth-watering, chef-crafted menu designed to highlight the colorful flavors of fall. The festival brings the “creative campus” to life with a special program, including musical and dance performances from the main stage. This event has something for the whole family. 

Saturday

Pregame tailgate – 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Enjoy food, music, face painting, games, and more! Mr. C and the Spirit of Gold Marching Band will make a special appearance.

Vanderbilt vs Wake Forest – kickoff at 11:00 a.m.

Come cheer the ’Dores on to victory! Vanderbilt Stadium has a clear bag policy for games. For more information go to https://vucommodores.com/football-gameday/

Sunday

Farewell Breakfast – 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Come have breakfast with us and other families before heading home! We will have a special performance by a student jazz trio.
