Vice Chancellor’s Advisory Council

The Dean of each school of Vanderbilt University has appointed an administrative dean or senior faculty member to serve on the Vice Chancellor’s Advisory Council. The Council provides valuable input to the Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. It gathers twice each semester to discuss what is occurring across the campus in the areas of equity, diversity, and inclusion; what best practices are evident from the experiences of the schools; and where challenges remain. The various schools at Vanderbilt are at different stages on this journey to diversity, inclusion, and equity, and learning from one another will be invaluable. Council members’ recommendations represent important contributions to the work we do to achieve Chancellor Zeppos’ vision.

A Student Advisory Board made up of undergraduate, graduate and professional students also provides the Office for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion with feedback and advice.
