Student Affairs OHARE E-Newsletter [Vanderbilt University]

September 15, 2021

Gillette Residents,

We are writing to give you an update on the incident that occurred overnight. This will be how you receive official notices and updates as more information becomes available.

Effective immediately, a shuttle will run on a continuous loop stopping at the Hayes Street Hotel, Gillette Circle on the Commons, and Kirkland Circle on main campus.

A member of the Office of Housing and Residential Experience (OHARE) will be stationed in the lobby of the Hayes Street Hotel today. If you have an urgent need or concern for an item in your room (i.e. medication, documentation/passport, records) please let the OHARE staff member know and we will determine next steps.

A dean’s notification is being sent on your behalf to your academic deans to update them on the situation. Please also work with your professors directly regarding a plan to complete your coursework.

As more information is available, including how to submit claims for damaged items and when you will be permitted back into your space, it will be communicated via this email address.

We thank you for your patience and cooperation.
