Student Affairs Comms E-Newsletter [Vanderbilt University]

Monday, December 5, 2016

Dear Vanderbilt Students,

In response to expressions of concern from faculty and students as well as in student media, we write to convey our continued support for our international students and for those members of our community who may currently be undocumented.

In the Chancellor’s letter of 29 November, he referenced the many University offices that support our students regardless of their citizenship or immigration status. In that context, we are pleased to share the following resource guide:

International students with either visa or cultural questions may reach out to the International Student and Scholar Services office:

Other campus resources include:

As directed by Chancellor Zeppos, we are evaluating these resources to identify any areas that may benefit from additional support and programming in the spring semester to further support students. Please feel free to reach out to any of these offices and to us with any questions or concerns.

We wish all a successful finals period and a wonderful winter break.

Sincerely,

Susan R. Wente
Provost and
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

Mark Bandas
Associate Provost and
Dean of Students
