Rongchao Tang, Language Teaching Specialist

photo of Rongchao TangRongchao has a B.A. in English and an M.A. in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. He earned his Ph.D. in Linguistics and Graduate Certificate in TESOL from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), where he also worked as a post-doctoral associate. Before joining Vanderbilt, Rongchao taught linguistics at UTA for 5 years, and then taught ESL courses at Nashville State Community College. Rongchao’s research interests include psycholinguistics, second language acquisition, and bilingualism. He has published several research papers in peer-reviewed journals, and presented at various domestic and international academic conferences. In his spare time, Rongchao enjoys playing video games, gardening, and traveling.
