Center for Second Language Studies (CSLS)

Aside from offering guidance for learning new languages and about different cultures, the Center for Second Language Studies also provides support for those looking to expand their use of technology within their classroom or scholarship.  The CSLS offers Digital Humanities working groups, technology training sessions, and many other technological resources specifically designed for language instructors.

Digital Humanities Working Groups

  • These groups meet monthly and cover topics such as:
    • TEI/XML
    • Geospatial Tools
    • Gaming Pedagogy
    • Data Visualization
    • Text Mining

Technology Training Sessions

  • The CSLS offers training sessions. Visit their website to fill out a form indicating which tool you’d like to be trained on. Common training sessions include the following:
