The Vanderbilt Center for Digital Humanities announces digital project microgrants for 2021-2022.

These awards are intended to jump-start faculty projects involving digital technology and research in the humanities or qualitative social sciences. We encourage the development of project teams that include graduate and undergraduate students. Collaborations between faculty members are also encouraged. Any Vanderbilt faculty members may apply.

Applicants may request up to $2,500 for:

  • Undergraduate research assistants
  • Graduate research awards
  • Project website support
  • Programmers / developers for hire
  • Software and/or data acquisition
  • Training
  • Conference travel for undergraduate or graduate student team members

We will make a limited number of awards throughout the academic year. Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis starting Friday, October 1, 2021.

Awarded projects will receive web hosting, data storage, and basic project consultation free of charge for the duration of the academic year.

To apply, send your 250-word project description and proposed budget to dhcenter@vanderbilt.edu.
