Jan. 2, 2020—This working group operates at the intersection of the fields of games studies, critical theory, and digital humanities. We meet on select Thursdays in Buttrick 344 from 1:15-2:15pm. Please read more for our fall schedule.
Oct. 2, 2019—The Spatial Humanities working group will investigate technologies, scholarly methods, and political practices related to geospatial data in humanistic research. It meets every other Tuesday from 3:00-4:00pm in Buttrick 344. For our fall schedule, please read more.
Oct. 2, 2019—The Syriac Manuscript Cataloging Group is developing a database of Syriac manuscripts in the British Library, based on a nineteenth century English-language catalog. We meet every Monday in Divinity 256 from 2:30-4:00pm.
Oct. 2, 2019—This working group offers a practical introduction to computational tools for text analysis including OCR, data cleaning, coding, text mining software, and network visualization platforms. Oct. 2, 2019—This Working Group provides technological support for the Fort Negley Descendants Project, including gathering and editing video interviews, managing digitized document archives, and creating interfaces for crowdsourcing the transcription of the Fort's historical records. It meets most Thursdays in Buttrick 344 at 2:15pm.
