University Counseling Center (UCC) Director Search

Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Susan R. Wente has named a search committee to lead a national search for the permanent director of the University Counseling Center.

The new search committee will be chaired by Ranga Ramanujam, professor of management, Owen Graduate School of Management.

 The committee members are:

  • Frank Dobson, associate dean of social justice and identity, Office of the Dean of Students, faculty head of Gillette House, Martha Rivers Ingram Commons,
  • Amy Fleming, associate dean for medical student affairs, associate professor of pediatrics,
  • Gina Frieden, assistant professor of the practice, human and organizational development, Peabody College,
  • Jonathan Metzl, Director, Center of Medicine, Health, and Society, Frederick B. Rentschler II Professor of Sociology and Medicine, Health, and Society, professor of psychiatry, College of Arts & Science and School of Medicine,
  • Chris Tasich, Ph.D. candidate, Department of Enviornmental Engineering; president, Graduate Student Council,

  • Dawn Vanderhoef, director, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, School of Nursing,
  • Mark Wallace, Dean of the Graduate School, Louise B. McGavock Endowed Chair; professor of hearing & speech sciences, psychiatry & behavioral sciences, and psychology; associate director, Vanderbilt Conte Center for Neuroscience Research, and
  • David Zald, professor of psychology and psychiatry, director of interdisciplinary neuroscience program for undergraduates.
