VIEW

The students in the 2017 Vanderbilt Internship Experience in Washington, D.C. (VIEW) cohort have begun week four of the summer portion of the program. Fifteen students are exploring careers in public service by participating in internships, building relationships with their alumni mentors, attending networking and social events, and serving in the local community. In the month of June, VIEW students enjoyed Jazz in the Garden at the National Gallery of Art, toured the Newseum, visited the reception rooms of the State Department and participated in a Q&A session with Foreign Service Officers, attended the Opening Dores alumni networking event, served with D.C. Central Kitchen, and reflected on their experience during cohort meetings and family dinners.

Follow the VIEW 2017 blog to get an inside look at the experience of a VIEW student and to learn more about the specific organizations where each student is interning.
