Newflash: New travel system launched

Posted by on Thursday, August 1, 2013 in archives.

Dear DOS staff member:

Vanderbilt launched a new travel system on July 30, 2013. All Vanderbilt employees are required to use the new Concur system for travel related to University business. Training on the travel system is being offered in multiple formats including web-based and classroom opportunities.

Prior to any travel on University business, DOS staff members should complete training to use the new system. Judy Moss will serve as the DOS Travel Advisor to assist staff members with complex travel issues. Please understand that consultation with Judy Moss should not be used as a substitute for training.

You will receive further communications from DOS with information on changes to Travel on the Pcard, establishing your profile in the Concur system, and understanding the pre-authorization process. Please review these communications and ensure you have taken the steps necessary to prepare for the launch of the new Travel system, Travel policy, and related processes. Your timely response to these initial actions will be greatly appreciated. The success of the new system depends upon your participation.

To learn more, visit the Travel and Payment Card website at vanderbilt.edu/tpc.

Thank you very much as we make this shift to a state-of-the-art travel system for support of Vanderbilt faculty and staff.

Best regards,

Mark Bandas

Associate Provost and Dean of Students
