Fall Workshops for Students at the PCC

The Vanderbilt Psychological and Counseling Center (PCC) will offer a variety of workshops for students this fall. Several of these workshops are offered to a specific population at VU and are held on campus, in collaboration with other campus departments/offices. Other workshops are held at the PCC and are either ongoing or are offered during a specified time frame. Most workshops are drop-in and do not require a screening and/or reservation.

A brief description of each workshop is included below, but more specific information can be found on our website.

Finding Your Niche: A seven-week series in partnership with the Ingram Commons for first year undergraduate students; Fridays beginning September 13, 3-4:30pm, Commons Center Room 233.

Culture Café: For undergraduate and graduate international and domestic students. A four-week lunch conversation series in partnership with ISSS; Thursdays in September, 12-1pm, Sarratt 189.

Divinity School/PCC Lunch Series: A monthly lunch discussion in partnership with the Divinity School for students in the Divinity School; August 28, September 25, October 23; 12-1pm, Divinity School, Tillette Lounge.

Academic Skills Workshop: For all undergraduate and graduate students- designed to enhance study skills, time management, paper writing, and test preparation; Mondays beginning October 7, 1-2:30pm, PCC.

Surviving and Thriving with ADHD: For all undergraduate and graduate students with ADHD- The focus will be on strategies for improving work completion, time management and organization, as well as touching on cognitive behavioral and mindfulness interventions. Thursdays beginning September 27, 1-2:30pm, PCC.

Coping Skills Workshop: For all undergraduate and graduate students to develop a greater understanding of coping skills, such as mindfulness and the identification of thoughts and behaviors and the role they play in stress. Fridays beginning August 23, 3-4:30pm, PCC.
