What is your hometown? Chongqing, China
What is your educational background? I majored in Actuarial Science, Math Stats and Applied Mathematics when I was an undergraduate.
Why data science? I want to implement what I’ve learned in undergraduate by programming and its data era.
Why did you choose Vanderbilt? I chose Vanderbilt because it is a private school with small classes, and it is easy for me to get in touch with professors.
What are your hobbies / what do you enjoy doing outside of work and academics? I love doing jiujitsu, but I’m not sure if I have time to do that in graduate school
