Lauren Siegel

Graduate Assistant, Data Science Institute

Lauren Siegel is the summer graduate assistant at the Data Science Institute. In her position, Lauren is responsible for supporting the execution of program-related projects and daily operational tasks to ensure the program runs effectively and efficiently. Some of these projects include supporting the creation of a virtual orientation, a student ambassador program, a strategic recruitment plan, and a career development matrix.

Lauren is a current second-year M.Ed student in the Higher Education Administration Program at Vanderbilt and earned her BA in Art History from Franklin & Marshall College. Prior to attending Vanderbilt, she worked at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) for seven years as a senior communications specialist providing information and resources to help students prepare for the MCAT exam and apply to medical school. Her time at the AAMC led her to pursue a career that would allow her to have a greater impact on the educational experiences of students and better help them to achieve their academic and professional goals. During the academic year, Lauren is the graduate assistant in the Office of the Dean of Students and will complete her practicum in Owen’s Career Management Center this fall. When she is not studying or at work, you can find her at the gym or the Pilates studio, exploring Nashville, or planning for her wedding next year!
