Assistant Director, Data Science Institute
Amanda, who was hired on as the first staff member, is the Assistant Director of the Data Science Institute. Her responsibilities include running daily institute operations, financial management, hiring and on boarding, strategic planning, new initiatives and programming, and special events. In addition, Amanda works closely with the Master’s degree program overseeing the recruitment and admissions operations, student management, and student outcomes and placement.
Amanda’s background and expertise lies within the graduate education space, where she has managed four different graduate programs at three different universities, both public and private. She earned her BS in Business Administration from The College at Brockport, State University of NY and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Buffalo State College. Amanda is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt Peabody College. When she’s not working or studying, you can find her lifting weights at the gym, listening to podcasts, or traveling to tropical places.
