Aidan Wells is a rising senior at Vanderbilt double majoring in Neuroscience and English. He was interested in research related to neuroscience from a young age, but it was not until shadowing a surgeon that he felt inspired to join the clinical side of the field. Through the CIBS Center, he has experienced a perfect overlap of clinical care and research by observing exactly how studies of the long-term effects of current interventional emergency care methods promote changes to those methods to better serve patients. Aidan hopes to continue contributing to this wave of change this summer while utilizing his extra time in Tennessee to explore the backpacking and hiking available in the nature-rich state.
