Lost in the Ivy
Who
Rosevelt Noble, Assistant Dean of Residential Colleges, Director of the Bishop Johnson Black Cultural Center
What
In 2007, Dr. Rosevelt Noble began the Lost in the Ivy project. He was inspired by notable African-American alum from Vanderbilt whose contributions and accomplishments were relatively unknown to current Vanderbilt students. To preserve the experiences of African-American students at Vanderbilt, he began conducting interviews with current Vanderbilt students and Vanderbilt alum. This project seeks to identify and understand common themes in these interviews.
