ValaRae Partee

Doctoral Student, Department of Environmental Engineering

ValaRae Partee is pursuing a PhD in Environmental Engineering with a focus on drinking water, agriculture, climate change, environmental policy, and environmental justice. Her current passion is the science and socio-political intersect of environmental justice issues (specifically surrounding drinking water) and climate change vulnerabilities. ValaRae has previously worked at an environmental law firm where she conducted research and used her science and policy background to inform litigation decisions. Upon graduation ValaRae plans on helping farmers in Middle Tennessee better manage their water resources while staying in compliance with EPA, FDA, and USDA standards.
