From Chaos to Career with Katherine Brooks
On Monday, October 2, the Scholars were joined by Dr. Kate Brooks, career expert and author of You Majored In What? With Dr. Brooks’s help, the Scholars took a glimpse into their possible futures. How? By looking into their pasts. The Scholars created what Kate referred to as a “network of possible wanderings” — a visual map of interests, hobbies, past jobs, and memorable experiences. By searching for (often surprising) connections on their maps, the Scholars began to see the kinds of things they might want to get out of a career.
