Curb Scholars Open Year with Yoga & Meditation
After a few weeks off for winter break, the Curb Scholars eased back into the new year with yoga and dinner. Joined by yoga instructor Jo-Jo Jackson the scholars were led through meditation, stretching and restorative movements. Jo-Jo explained to the scholars that yoga is meant to bring people together and build a community. The practice of yoga was followed with dinner and discussion about community engagement through the lens of social arts practice, which is the school of thought that will frame the scholars’ work and projects for the remainder of the academic year.
