Creative Challenge, Garbage Matters

On a very wet and rainy Thursday afternoon, our travels took us to the Frist Center for the Visual Arts to view Vik Muniz’s Garbage Matters exhibit.  What a great opportunity this proved to be! Muniz is known for photographing his re-creations of famous historical paintings using cast-off materials (or what we would call garbage) from a local landfill in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro. After our tour, our challenge was to take cast-off items from the Frist Center to create our own masterpiece. Can you guess what we created? Take a few moments and think of a creative name for our Masterpiece!
