The Curb Scholars kicked off the new academic year with a brainstorming and planning session for their Coffee and Company project. Last year was the pilot of Coffee and Company and this year the Curb Scholars had lots of great ideas for how to grow and develop the initiative. The leaders of the project had already had the first Coffee and Company event of the new year over at the Commons for the incoming first-year students over dinner.
The Scholars also discussed their recent visits to local community resources, Dismas House, the Easley Community Center, and Kore, and ways in which they could partner with these organizations over the coming year.
