African American Representation in Engineering Faculty Positions
Stacey worked on three NSF-funded projects designed to examine and address the factors that contribute to the underrepresentation of African-Americans in engineering faculty positions.
Stacey’s work bridges education, incarceration, and health. While at Vanderbilt, Stacey worked on three NSF-funded projects designed to examine and address the factors that contribute to the under-representation of African-Americans in engineering faculty positions. Stacey has also served as a research assistant to the Chancellor’s Committee on Diversity, Inclusion, and Community, synthesizing research on best practices for increasing diversity at higher education institutions across the country.
Stacey has experience with program evaluation and research design for schools and community-based programs. He has also worked as a Data Analyst for the Department of Education and is the co-founder of Madison Multicultural Education Solutions, LLC., an educational development and consulting company.
Stacey is a Research Associate at JBS International, Inc., where he works in the areas of program evaluation and statistical technical assistance for social justice-oriented programs. He received his B.A. in Sociology (Honors) at Davidson College (2013) and his M.A. in Sociology at Vanderbilt University (2015).
