Jon Rubin Skypes in to Give the Curb Scholars Their Opening Challenge

January 7, 2014

Curb Scholars took advantage of the Curb Center’s redesigned video conferencing room and skyped with Carnegie Mellon Assistant Professor of Art Jon Rubin—founder of Conflict Kitchen—who sent them on a quest to make $100 in ten days. The catch: the money cannot come from family or friends. It must come solely from a service that the scholars design and sell to the public. Our hope: that the money collected by the scholars will become seed money for a larger creative project that we will implement at Vanderbilt.
