IP Policies

CTTC is responsible for administering the Vanderbilt University/Medical Center intellectual property policy (the Policy on Technology and Literary and Artistic Works, commonly referred to as the IP Policy).  The IP Policy addresses a variety of forms of ownership of intellectual property, including patentable inventions, software and copyrights, and materials, databases, and other forms of research results.

Disputes regarding the IP Policy are adjudicated by Vanderbilt’s Technology Review Committee (TRC).  Information about the IP Policy, the TRC, and other related institutional policies and practices is provided below.
