Turkish is a language spoken by approximately 70 million people, living in Turkey, the Balkans,Northern Cyprus, the Caucasus Mountain region and Northern Europe.Until Ataturk’s languagereforms, in 1928, it was written with Ottoman script. People who communicate in Turkish now use the latin alphabet.The origin of Turkish is unknown, it is believed to have originated onthe steppes of what is now Mongolia.
