Research from the <a href=\"https:\/\/structbio.vanderbilt.edu\/sanders\/\">Sanders Lab<\/a> that targets the SARS-CoV-2 E membrane protein. The research focuses on the ability to create a &#8216;weaponized&#8217; E protein which will <span data-contrast=\"auto\">be incorporated into viral particles undetected to kill the virus during assembly, thus ending its ability to infect other cells.
