Project Summary
Men have a shorter life expectancy than women and the leading causes of death among men are related to eating practices and physical activity. On average, men eat fewer fruits and vegetables than women, but men are more likely to report leisure-time physical activity than women. Yet research on strategies to increase these healthy behaviors among men is limited, and little of the research into this area has considered gender.
This project explores the relationship between gender and fruit and vegetable consumption and physical activity among White, Latino, and African American men.
This project is no longer recruiting participants.
