Two MFAs honored in 2019 Academy of American Poets Prize Contest

Two current MFA students have been chosen by judge Cathy Park Hong in the 2019 Academy of American Poets Prize Contest at Vanderbilt.

 

Carlina Duan, M.F.A. ’19, was chosen as the the contest winner for her poem “Do You Have a Grammatically Correct Response to the Question?”

 

 

 

 

 

Maria Isabelle Carlos, M.F.A. ’20, received an honorable mention for her poem “Love Poem.”
