The Arts Camps

Young children and trains are a natural match, always on the move! Bring your own stuffed animal for the petting zoo. Wear long white socks on your hands for “polar bear paws.” Sing songs for clapping time, and use music to help regulate emotions. This oneon-one time will give your child the love and attention he/she craves. 
Ages:   Birth through pre-K (with a parent or caregiver) Perfect for families with two young children

Tuition is priced per family.
Wednesdays – 9:00 - 9:45

Enjoy a special bonding time with your newborn, infant, or crawler as you dance, sing, and explore. Experience the joy of incorporating music with your baby to jumpstart earliest learning.
Ages: Infant –1 year with parent or caregiver
Wednesdays   12:45 p.m.  - 1:30 p.m.

A mix of adult-child activities provide parents the opportunity to participate in the music and movement fun, but also to stand back, observe, and revel in how these older babies and toddlers walk, talk, sing, play, clap, tap, and dance on their own.
Ages:  1 - 2 with a parent or caregiver
Wednesdays 11:30 a.m. or 4:00 p.m.

Take a musical trip to a fantasy world of wild animal sights and sounds. Boost physical and cognitive development through the joy of music. Bounce like a kangaroo; tap the rhythm of the pony’s feet. Don’t miss out on these visits to a musical zoo!
Ages 18 months to 3 (with a parent or caregiver)
Wednesdays 10:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. or Thursdays  6:00 .m. – 6:45 p.m.

Just say the word drum and any child within earshot will be ready to play. Children love to drum on just about anything, and drums can be found in every culture.  Children will sing, clap and play to a variety of songs and games. Moving, dancing with scarves, and playing a variety of percussion instruments will delight   Each class will feature a guest professional drummer.
Ages 3.5 to 5 (with a parent or caregiver)
Wednesday 5:00 pm. – 5:45 p.m.

Six 45-minute classes meeting June 5–July 17.
No classes the week of July 1.
Going to miss a session? Make-up classes held on August 3 at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Summer Youth Art Institute

For Summer 2019, SYAI will touring the globe with our theme “A Wonderful World of Art”.  Through  art we will travel the world to explore the art and cultures of the major continents and regions around the world.. Ages 5- 6 and 7 – 11  will use clay, metals, fibers, paint, photography, paper and more materials to create their own versions of art that are based on traditions and influences that have been passed down for years in these various countries and regions. Ages 12 – 16 will have focused lessons on particular mediums and we’ve listed the studio techniques below on our schedule.

We use the following groups for registration: Ages 5 and 6 (entering Kindergarten or First Grade in the Fall), ages 7 – 11 (entering 2nd grade through 6th grade in the Fall) and ages 12 – 16 (entering grades 7 through 10 in the Fall). We will then divide them in to appropriate age groups of 10 – 12 children based on enrollment.

Tuition for summer 2019 is $280.00 per child per week. This cost includes art instruction and all supplies.   Receive a $40.00 Early Bird discount by registering between February 1 and April 1. No code is required.

Returning Parents: Simply log in to the registration system with your child’s users name and password.

New Parents: You will create an account in our on line registrations system for each child that will be attending Youth Art. this system does not allow for family accounts.

We are not able to offer Before and After Care in this program.

Please note that lunch and snacks are not provided in the tuition rates. Children must bring their own food and drinks.
