The Media Relations Specialist is part of the Strategic Communications office at Vanderbilt University and is responsible for developing and implementing media relations plans and tactics to enhance Vanderbilt University’s reputation, and to advance the university’s mission as a premier academic research institution. This position will handle proactive and reactive media relations for Vanderbilt, including monitoring news developments, developing messaging, and building productive relationships with local, national, and international news media. Reporting to the Media Relations Manager, the Media Relations Specialist will interact with faculty, staff, students, and internal/external stakeholders.
The Social Media Specialist works in the Office of Strategic Communications at Vanderbilt University and is responsible for the creation and distribution of engaging social media content across the institution’s priority platforms. This position creates, edits and produces content such as video, text, photos and graphics as needed in accordance with the University’s strategic and communications plans, and in coordination with current branding and marketing initiatives, and the latest digital tools and trends.
The Executive Writer is part of the Division of Communications, University Relations department at Vanderbilt University and is a key individual contributor responsible for producing written communications for the Chancellor and the Provost, as well as other university leaders. The Executive Writer will manage writing projects as assigned and will also analyze and provide data on the impact of deliverables.
