Commencement Checklist

☐ Confirm you have enough credits to graduate 

☐ Pay all accounts 

☐ Update your permanent address with the University Registrar 

☐ Order regalia at Vanderbilt Bookstore if you missed the online deadline 

☐ Pick up your name card at the bookstore and write your phonetics on the card

☐ Find your processional information below 

☐ Check emails for Commencement updates (including last-minute weather information) 

☐ Take your regalia gown out of the bag ASAP to release wrinkles (Do not iron—leave on hanger in bathroom while a hot shower is running.) 

☐ If you are a May graduate, you will receive your diploma when you cross the stage 

☐ If you are an August or December graduate, you will receive your diploma cover when you cross the stage

☐ Doctoral students who rent regalia can either mail it back to Oak Hall using the included shipping labels or drop it off at Vanderbilt Bookstore after Commencement between May 12 and May 15
