VCCI engage local 8th graders in mock international climate change negotiations

VCCI researchers lead mock international climate change negotiations at annual STEM day with students from Harpeth Hall and Montgomery Bell Academy in Nashville. Students acted as delegates representing specific countries or United Nations negotiating blocs, and worked to negotiate specific agreements regarding financing to developing countries, green house emissions, deforestation, or afforestation. Students then input negotiated targets into modeling tools to see outcomes on future projected global temperature change.
