Summer Camps

Every camp, like every child, is different. It is important to consider the needs and interests of the child as well as the requirements of the family.

The variety of camps that are available can meet just about every need. Do you prefer a day camp or a residential camp? Would you like a co-ed camp? There are cooking camps, sports camps, art camps, science camps, and many others. In terms of residential camps, the children must have some degree of independence because they are on their own to some extent.

When exploring options for summer camps it is important to consider staff, location, costs and any special needs (dietary or medical) that your child may have.

The Vanderbilt Child and Family Center offers an annual Summer Camp Fair where parents can visit with representatives from various camps and learn more about what they offer.
