Scholarship and Research
Chancellor Diermeier is an internationally renowned scholar of political science and managerial leadership—topics that he gravitated to by way of many other academic interests, ranging from philosophy and musicology to rhetoric and game theory.
His study of leadership and reputation management is also widely celebrated and is the subject of several of his books. He has published or co-authored four books and more than 100 research articles.
Given his diverse experiences as a student, professor, dean and provost—across a range of programs and institutions—he is deeply connected to higher education’s many roles and contributions within our society, including research, teaching and the education of future leaders.
