2026 Comparative Study of Election Surveys Plenary Meeting
Gothenburg, Sweden
CSES
The Comparative Study of Election Surveys (CSES) will convene its international network of collaborators for the 2026 CSES Plenary Meeting at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden.
CSES is a global collaborative research project that unites election study teams worldwide to advance comparative research on electoral behavior and political institutions. Participating teams incorporate a common module of survey questions into national election studies, producing internationally comparable data that researchers can use to examine how citizens’ attitudes and behaviors interact with political and electoral contexts.
Plenary meetings bring CSES collaborators together to exchange research, discuss the project's development, and make collective decisions on future study modules. At the 2026 meeting, collaborators will consider and formally approve CSES Module 7, hear research presentations using CSES data, and discuss priorities for the project's future.
The CSES Secretariat is based at Vanderbilt University and supports the international collaboration and production of CSES’s comparative research resources.
